Bidrage med feedbackWe tried this restaurant on a stinking hot Saturday at 5p.m. It looks like an old house that 's converted into a restaurant. Our table was tucked away in a little room that thankfully had a/c. There is also outdoor seating available. We ordered chicken satay, fried rice, salt pepper squid, and the three friends . For 3 people, the bill was $72.60. Pros; Very friendly service. Food arrived quickly. Price was reasonable. Street parking right outside. Cons; Because the entrance was open, we were harassed by mosquitoes, house flies, and fruit flies. The meats on the 3 friends platter were dry and overcooked. The salt and pepper squid needed more seasoning. Overall it was O.K, but there 's nothing special there to make us come back in a hurry.
Have been going to Doytao for a few years now, on my last visit I was very disappointed with the food and service. No customer service at all the waitresses do not smile what so ever. Not sure if they have changed ownership but everything was very different. I was disgusted after paying my bill and walking out one of the waitress chased me outside saying that they had under charged me by 1 drink. We were a table of 10 so the bill was a lot and they made the mistake of undercharging us by $3 very disappointed that they would come out and chase you for that. I will definitely not be returning or recommend anyone to this Thai restaurant.
We usually only get a mid week takeaway from Doy Tao and it is always the best in town. We have tried the competition but often end up disappointed and go back to Doy Tao. Excellent food and super quick. Only just enough time to duck across the road to the Padstow Park hotel for a quick beer before the order is ready. The BBQ lamb and the Penang Curry are standouts. Always busy.
Thai restaurant located at the corner shop beside Padstow station. There are public parking lots Infront or behind the shoplots. There seats both inside and outside the restaurant. They have open kitchen concept so we are able to see the chefs cooking. Food taste is good, slight sweet but not too spicy. We were surprised at how tiny the bowl of tomyum soup is, definitely not for sharing! They don't accept Service NSW voucher at the moment.
I have known this restaurant for over 12 years since I lived in Padstow before. During the lockdown in Sydney, this has become my favorite place. The prices are not inflated when ordering through MenuLog or their website - both have the same prices and offer free delivery. The only downside is that they can be inconsistent with their cooking, sometimes resulting in a bad taste or forgetting items in your order. However, when you order again they usually provide a better taste. The good thing is that their delivery is quick, unlike other Thai restaurants in Panania that take too long to cook. Our favorite dish is the Pad Thai, which has an authentic Thai flavor. The BBQ pork is also worth trying if you haven't already. Don't forget to try the delicious beef salad, we love the dressing.
