Tacos El Gordo - Pacoima

Update May 14 2022 I made a mistake on the pedigree, origins of this restaurant, for that I apologize. The rest of my review stands. I did in fact visit this location as verified by my Google timeline. Sorry folks as for now you need to step up your game. El Gordo made a name for themselves when they were hungry for business. Unfortunately the quality of food has declined considerably. The wait times are considerable, which is unfortunate particularly considering the strong local competition which includes every mom and pop restaurant, pop up food vendor, and roach-coach uh I mean food truck. There is better, faster, cheaper Mexican food to be had at nearly every main intersection. While once an up and coming restaurant, they have lost their drive, I cannot recommend this place.

Better them street tacos place is clean safe sauce a little spicy but ok I did like bean tostada on the side I do see that so often in others places

Love the food it’s great, it’s just really hard guessing what time we can actually go eat although it states on google that they close at 6:00 pm it was 4:50 and we were told you were close already, it’s not the first time we encounter this.

Ordered an asada burrito was little heavy on salt but still good , also ordered a torta asada was very good
