Rosa Mexicano - Oxon Hill

It has been a long time since I've been to Rosa Mexicana and the quality has definitely changed. The air conditioner was broken, and the staff neglected to tell us unfortunately our visit was during one of the hottest days of the summer. Also, the waiter was very rude and the food was over seasoned and not very good. Definitely not the experience that I remember from a couple years ago. 

Ultimately we enjoyed our date at Rosa Mexican. We were in the mood for apps as dinner and we loved our choices. The table side guacamole, while expensive, is delicious. A single portion is enough for most. They really should add salt to their homemade chips but you can add your own to taste. The fried plantains were tasty as was the street corn inspired “dip” side. The main problems were the air conditioning doesn't work and the portable units they brought in were struggling. I was sweating quite a bit by the end of our meal. It was 95 outside and the diners outside were probably more comfortable. They really should have comped a few drinks to make up for it. My beer was even warm and not refreshing.

Loved it . And our server ??!! He was the nicest ever and made sure we were accommodated for , even though this location ‘s AC was off. He came around with water often. And ?!! Our frozen margaritas had enough ice blended in them — to last our whole visit . I will most definitely visit again! The food was very good , too!

We were seated. The air conditioning was off. The menus were sticky and gross. No server ever came to greet us. It was not very busy. After waiting 15 minutes, we left and went to a restaurant across the street.

No air conditioner. Outdoor seating closed even though rain had stopped an hour prior. Service was very slow...gad to ask for more water and for dishes to be removed. She walked by out table repeatedly but did not check on us. Food was FABULOUS...but experience was not.
