Bidrage med feedbackI've only been here once, so try to keep that in mind as you read this review. I ordered the salmon skin roll and the volcano roll. As far as flavor, they were both ok. Not bad, but not great either. The ginger was in large pieces that I felt should've been much smaller. The wasabi was very spicy, just the way I prefer.I feel like the thing I disliked the most was the level of service. They weren't disrespectful at all, but it was painfully obvious that they couldn't care less about customer satisfaction. I waited 10 minutes after finishing my meal before one of the sushi chefs asked if I was done; I was in plain view of both of the other staff members. I even tried to make my intentions obvious by piling things on my plate (empty soda can, used napkins, chopsticks, etc. . When I got up to walk to the opposite side of the bar to pay, the woman was literally leaning on the register and taking her sweet time taking orders and payments from other customers. That said, I'm not recommending that people avoid this sushi bar. If I'm ever in the building and I feel like sushi, MAYBE I'll stop again. If I'm at the Harbor, I'll go somewhere else. I definitely won't make a special trip to go back to Bento Sushi again.
I placed an order online to pickup. The website said to give them ten to fifteen minutes to prepare. 20 minutes later the meal had not even been started. Then when they started to make it, they told me the website should not have let me order what I did order. They wanted me to check back and they would have it ready. Ten minutes later, and still not started, they told me I had been undercharged and just pick a few of the things. Needless to say I was going to a show and after almost an hour of them confused, I asked for my money back. I went to the show hungry, but at least I got my money back.
Slightly overpriced. Decent and fast however. Customer Service was great.
The pre packaged sushi I bought tasted fine, but eating here was stressful and the service was unsatisfactory. We had come to MGM on a Friday evening before a show. Every restaurant had long lines. We spent about 30 minutes searching throughout MGM for a restaurant or a counter service place in the Market. I've also never seen prices this high for a food court. Bento said they had a 30 minute wait for food ordered from the menu, so I decided to buy the pre packed sushi at the Bento counter. That took at least 20 minutes, standing in line. They had too few staff, and they weren't moving with a sense of urgency. There were only a couple of people ahead of me when I got in line, but the cashier was handling multiple roles, so we mostly just waited. My husband did the same for a slice of pizza. Then, we couldn't find a place to sit for a while. Every bathroom in the place also had crazy long lines. I had hoped for a nice meal that evening. What I got instead was like eating at the airport on the day before Thanksgiving both in terms of price and chaos. Never again!
Similar to other reviews--I enjoy the sushi but the service is very hit or miss. I usually order the California roll and Maryland roll.
