Bidrage med feedbackTWT steak is amazing and worth every penny we spent! My grandmother and I went there to celebrate my birthday and it was the best birthday dinner ever. We started off with risottos for the appetizer. My grandmother had the mushroom and I had the steak. The rice was perfectly cooked and the flavors exploded in your mouth. For the main course my grandmother had steak which was cooked amazingly. She had ordered it well done by accident but it came out juice with no pink!!!! I had the beef Wellington and it melted in my mouth! We happened to go on Thursday which ment some of the wines were 5 dollars a glass. We both got a red sangria that paired well with the main meal. Dessert was awesome too, we had a chocolate and almond torte( not sure if I spelled it right) it was rich and had just the right amount of sweetness. The staff was super nice Jackson was very informative and did an awesome job explaining the menu. Joel came out to say hi to the guest and was very nice to talk too. The atmosphere was relaxed and fit the dinner well. Since then I have been telling everyone I know about this place. If you have gone to their lunch and breakfast you have to go to their dinner. They still offer their teas at dinner which many would go well with dessert! My grandmother is very hard to please when going out to eat. She Loved it here! We are making plans to eat there again! Please check them out they are definitely a hidden gem in Oxford CT! My friends and I had a great afternoon tea experience here. The tea menu is as expansive as a library, with a tea sure to please every palette and preference, from jasmine to rooibos to black to fruity to floral and everywhere in between. Besides offering decaf Earl Grey, for instance, there is decaf Victorian Earl Grey and there are several literary-themed tea blends named after classic authors. (I enjoyed a pot of the William Shakespeare, an Earl Grey with rose and lavender hints. The blueberry and white chocolate scone was moist and flavorful enough that it needed none of the traditional additions like jam, cream or lemon curd. It was easily my favorite. The cherry and cranberry scone immediately became scrumptious with a touch of jam, cream or curd (or all three . The tea sandwiches were good. I devoured my cucumber mint triangles while my friends enjoyed their chicken salad. The dessert is where it missed the mark. Two of us ordered the carrot cake and we both agreed it was quite dry. Also, the carrot cake was just a sheet cake with some frosting squeezed on top. (Consider yourself warned if you're expecting a tiered, moist cake with richer frosting and coconut shavings. The apple torte was ok. The atmosphere is pretty, quaint and cozy, what you'd expect from a tea room. This location is spacious with a few rooms with tables and then velvet booths lining the perimeter. Apparently, this location becomes a full restaurant Wednesday through Saturday evenings. Finding the place could be challenging as it's tucked within a residence complex and the complex doesn't offer signage for navigating or finding shops and restaurants there. We enjoyed our tea time. We just advise improvement on the desserts.
Highly recommend support local! Beautiful cozy restaurant, very friendly staff, and food was absolutely amazing. I've been to their other location several times for tea so I already knew I'd be in for a treat trying their steaks. The beef wellington was cooked to perfection and the mimosa flight was epic too. While we’ve enjoyed afternoon tea here from time to time, we won’t be returning for breakfast. Scrambled eggs were brown, breakfast potatoes were burnt, pancakes had odd taste and mimosa wasn’t that good. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, service was very slow.
