The Garden At The Gardener's Arms

The food at this restaurant is excellent, but unfortunately the service is very poor. Our meals were brought to us without any cutlery or condiments offered. When I asked the kitchen porter for cutlery, I was informed that the chef needed them. Unfortunately, they never came back to provide us with any. Although I don't mind getting my own cutlery, there was none readily available. I ended up having to wait in line at the bar to ask for cutlery from the staff. It seems like there may be a staffing issue, but regardless, the service definitely needs improvement.

Good food, good beer and good service, would certainly go back. would not only take cash as a card payment.

Absolutely beautiful little pub. the staff was excellent, eating was great. to come back here, next in the city!

Last night, eating was great, even loved by the nonveggie members of our group, personal friendly and beautiful atmosphere. will come back and the loaded pommes next.

For a pint during a short break. the employees were very obliged to change one of our drinks just because they didn't like it. obviously no presupposition was the personal taste, but they offered when she realized she didn't like it. I can't ask. my only disappointment was that we had no time to use the fabulous menu. none of us is vegan or vegetarian, but the menu looked so good that if we are ever in oxford again in any case on our list to visit the site.
