Comie's Caribbean Grill - Oxford

I discovered this hidden gem while staying at the nearby Premier Inn. After reading about it on TripAdvisor, I decided to take my partner here. The prices were very reasonable and the atmosphere was lively. We tried the goat curry, which was delicious, but the real standout dish was the dumplings.

I really liked the peppercorn steak. The music and atmosphere were great, and all of my friends enjoyed their meals as well.

I have had a number of takeaway meals and although the choice is limited, what I had was very enjoyable. You do need to be very clear about what you are asking for and where possible, phone in advance.

We stopped by on our way to our hotel after a day out in London. Even though there was a birthday party happening, we were warmly welcomed and seated away from the party. The service was very friendly and the meal was exactly what we were looking for - authentic and reasonably priced. I ordered the curried goat and my partner had the jerk chicken, both served with rice and peas, cabbage, and a side of macaroni cheese. We also enjoyed a Red Stripe and a large orange juice, and our bill came out to less than £25. The restaurant has bright decor and lively music, creating a great atmosphere. We will definitely be returning.
