La Baracca - OVINDOLI

This is the loveliest and coziest restaurant we ever came across. Converted from an old wooden barn offers a great choice of local great dishes from Abruzzo . We keep going back every year during Xmas holidays and we always book a table by the fireplace. If you order polenta con salsiccia and wine della casa you can 't go wrong. Greatly recommended!!!

Quaint rustic Abruzzese style, cozy welcoming place in the beautiful mountains surrounding Ovindoli (sky area and nice medieval town). The menu is short which is a good thing as the food was typical Abruzzese but with a twist : great presentation, surprising and great flavors. The service was impeccable, friendly and prompt. Great value and quality. We 'll be back.

I come to Ovindoli at least once a year, and have dreams about the food at La Baracca. The changing, hand-written menu is always full of delicious choices. Occasionally, as a veggie, it can be a little limited but staff are always helpful in finding a solution whenever possible. Beautiful setting, beautiful food, beautiful experiences.
