Vela Areinho - Ovar

This is a must try if you are travelling in the Porto region. Family run restaurant with incredible views, great seafood and perfect service. Attention to detail is second to none and the chairs are super comfortable too. Allows exploring the Ria de Aveiro beautiful area south of Porto.

Good Quality of fresh Sefood and Meat, prefect Starters, (try the mixed Starrter Plate+++++) Good wines and price value is absolute OK. Must have been there when you visit Ovar or Furaduro Friendly Owners, which doing the Service and Kitchen, high Quality

Place is really nice. Visited during the week and the place was quiet. Service was very friendly but the food was disappoinment. Too much garlic in appetizers and too much salt in main course. No separate children menu available.

On the way back from Porto we wanted to have diner near the water. We stumbled on this nice restaurant. The place is surrounded by a laguna. Terrace on all side and waterside tables inside.French/Portuguese very friendly owner.We went for the fish plates.They were cooked to perfection and accompanied by vegetables with a Maroccon flavor. We loved it.We paid by card and unfortunately we didn't have cash on us for a decent tip, which would have been certainly deserved.

This is the reaction we get when we enter in this restaurant.Great view, nice service and great French and Portuguese food.This restaurant presents you with new flavors, tecnics and beautifull meals to enjoy with your family and friends.Altought it is a bit expensive, it is also totaly worth.I recomend the duck meal. Damn, it was really awesome!
