Pannukakkutalo - Oulu

Been visiting this cosy traditional restaurant since they opened their doors. The original owner brought the idea of the pancakes from Netherlands and developed them even better. The owner has changed, but the pancakes are still delicious. Located at the market place by the sea. I live far away nowadays, but still this place is a must during my visits to Oulu. I´ve always chosen the sweet options, but according to my fellow diners the salty ones are delicious as well. Highly recommending this restaurant to all of the culinary experience seekers.

Visited this place with our two kids, and the place was great. The pancakes are more in the type of crepes known internationally, so not those thick ones. Kids had normal sweet pancakes with strawberries and chocolate and they were delicious, me and wife tried salty ones one with mince meat and other with smoked reindeer and they were awesome. Only negative thing was quite long waiting time, but it was understood as it was the peak of aummer vacation time. Definitely worth while to visit.

Our family stopped here for a sweet dessert stop during our drive through Oulu. The pancakes were extremely tasty and big and the service was friendly. Once the construction work outside is done, the place must be incredibly pleasant location for some mouth-watering pancakes. There are seating outside as well as inside of the restaurant available. You can also get salty food from the Pannukakkutalo.

We had tasty pancakes in the Pannukakkutalo by the marketplace of Oulu. They have both sweet and salty versions, the toppings might be for instance jam or meat, according to your selection.

I was on exchange at the university of Oulu and got this restaurant from a couple of people recommended. In the end, I've been here for more than once and it was always very delicious. The concept is simple, meaning that you can easily create your own pancake (sweet or salty), but very delicate. Lots of different toppings available. I took very often the nutella with banana and it was very tasty. Water is completely free of charge. The prices are also fine. With a student discount, you can get a cup of tea or coffeee for free. The restaurant itself looks pretty in a woody decoration. The staff is very friendly and polite.
