Bidrage med feedbackFood is great, fish are fresh, but the service was horrible to God and then I realized that there is no way to drink that actually began making sense why service was so bad.
It was in the midday, mid-week. I went out almost again, then was greeted by the server that explains how the place works. There is no menu except a few scratches on the board, but you go to the counter where there is... a good selection of fish. You choose a lot or type of fish you desire, as well as the way you want to cook it, then you will be offered a selection of vegetables or salad, or (the best) frits. I chose Calamari, which was delicate and crispy, as well as for melting. Absolutely delicious, and will be back. Prices reasonable, good food, in a somewhat unorthodox environment. No fleet license.
It's the simplest restaurant in Orleans. The surprise comes when you enter and see no menu and no ads or pictures or decorations. Then you see the people who rest, many of them. Rayan has an interesting concept. It immediately reminded me of...Bangkok and the fresh fish you choose, and it is cooked for you. Here they have a wide selection of very fresh fish and seafood. I mentioned that there is no menu! Just ask her how you want it. I grilled cod and chips. It was delicious. The cod was very fresh and the chips cooked and spiced a golden brown. The meal comes with a large, fresh salad. It was my first time and I wasn't familiar with her method so I didn't have much time to look around. But I saw many varieties of fish and seafood on ice stacks, enough to let me decide that I want to return for another experience. The staff is very friendly.
Someone told us about this place and we were pleased that we tired it. Can walk in or make reservation, once there you have to pick what sea food you want from the open fridge in front and they will ask if want it grilled...or fried. We choose sea bass, pop corn shrimp and sardines with a salad. All tasted very good, service guy was pretty quick . Didn't take any pictures since were all hungry
We went here for dinner last night. The choices were limited. No menu. No fries to go with their fish, the potato wedges tasted good but it wasn't fish and chips. The scallops were done on the BBQ and not great. The calamari was a...bit on the chewy side. The shrimp in butter were good but I don't like getting my hands dirty taking the shells off when they don't provide wet ones to clean your hands after. You had to go to the cooler to get your own drinks (no coffee). Minimal service. No sea bass or lobster. Loud and the floors are slippery. I won't go back.
