Lemon Grass - Ottawa

I ordered takeout through Uber Eats and the total came to over $70. My partner and I expected enough food for two adults, so we ordered two meals with appetizers. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the portion sizes. The food was so scant that it barely fed one person. The sticky rice was dry and amounted to only about a quarter cup in total, priced at $4 plus tax. Despite paying extra for additional chicken and vegetables in the green curry, the portion size was minuscule and it seemed like no extra ingredients were added. The quality of the food was mediocre at best. I tried to voice my complaints by calling the restaurant but never received a response from management. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

My family and I had a great dinner at Lemon Grass. The restaurant was very busy and the waitress was running around, but she was kind and the food was delicious (we had Beef Salad, Yellow Curry, Green Curry, and Veggie Spring Rolls). The atmosphere was lively and everyone appeared to be enjoying their meal and having a relaxing dinner. Despite the crowded tables, I didn't feel rushed to finish my meal. I don't mind waiting when a restaurant is busy, and I will definitely be coming back regularly.

We opted for take-out instead of dining in at the restaurant, but we were still warmly greeted by the waiter. The prices on the menu were reasonable. The food was prepared promptly and was absolutely delicious.

Complete disappointment in a previous favourite restaurant. Watery tasteless curry, other dishes, poorly packaged food for delivery, outrageously overpriced, the shrimp in the shrimp dish was almost nonexistent. In these days of many really good restaurants going under, if Lemongrass doesn’t smarten up, they’ll be one of them. $97 for the meal, I’m sure we could have gotten better at a food court. I’m really saddened by this because I loved this restaurant. I don’t know if it’s new management or lack of caring but I won’t waste my money there again.

I ordered the seafood chow mein and wasn't pleased. The goopy fish broth stuff on top didn't sit right with me. Threw off the texture and taste of the whole dish. But the staff were lovely and so kind and the other dishes looked good, maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.
