Vetta Osteria - Ottawa

Great pizza, nice decor and good music. The place was dead though.. not sure it'll last.

Went yesterday for dinner and drinks. Place was under renovations but they were still open. They should not have been. They were out of many ingredients for drinks and the food was obviously hastily made with ingredients lacking as well (one cherry tomato for a whole Margherita pizza and orange cheese). We were still charged full price. I wanted to write an email directly rather than make my complaints public but the website is not currently functional either. I hope changes are made.

Disappointing experience. Unfortunately day I visited (last Tues) the menu changed from 3 pages to 1 including drink choices previous menu seemed to have better options. : Ordered chicken club with house fries expected sandwich not a wrap less lettuce and more bacon would have been nice food was meh. On upside server was excellent. For the number of patrons the music was excessively loud and inappropriate given it was 6:30pm on Tuesday... Loud music does not make a place magically appear busier just sayn. Save yourself the disappointment and go elsewhere.

Service was really slow. First three wines we asked for were not available. Restaurant only had one wine chilling bucket for the whole restaurant. The white wine came unchilled. Red wine was warm. Food was OK but it took a long time to get from the kitchen. Just not the fun place it used to be.
