Bidrage med feedbackI love Håndbakt for all of their amazing vegan baked goods! This time we had their pistachio bun and cardamom bun, which were both very tasty! I’m never disappointed when I’m there! They are usually very busy on the weekends, but they do take bookings. Unfortunately, they charge 8kr for plant-based milk for drinks, which is quite expensive even for Oslo. Also, it’s a bit outdated to charge extra for plant-based milk, especially that much, when oat milk is pretty much the same price as cow’s milk in Norway. Updated from previous review on 2023-06-18
So many baked goods all marked vegan. The school bread was amazing spiced bun with vanilla custard and coconut) amazing to have a vegan version. Also bought a vegan pistachio bun and cinnamon bun. Got it to take away so can’t comment on the rest of the menu. They did have a pre prepared vegan sandwich on the counter which looked good. Buns were expensive but actually cheaper than the bakery in the train station non vegan, I just looked to compare).
Good selection of different Scandinavian and european baked goods. The pistasjbolle and brownie are amongst my favorites.
Their vegan options were a bit lacking while I was there, and to be honest, I'm disappointed that they're not 100% vegan, when their bakery is. Their baked goods are nice, though. I was pleased to eat a yummy safran bun, as I still felt hungry after having the granola bowl. (I wish they had gone for Greek style soy yoghurt rather than coconut yoghurt as a vegan option). UPDATE 02.04.2023 Be aware that like most cafés in Oslo, they can get VERY busy on weekends. Make sure to book a table, no later than the day before. (Norwegians are planners).
