La Chioccia D'oro - Ortonovo

Friendly welcome and service and fabulous food created with love from their own farm produce, including their own wine. The two of us dined heartily, 3 courses plus wine and coffee, for just 50 Euro. Worth making a trip, we hope to be back someday.

We stayed with our camper at the farm and had dinner at the restaurant. You should eat the antipasti (buffet style as a starter everything they serve is produced at the farm and super delicious. The pasta is a dream come true. Don’t judge the restaurant by its plastic chairs (I guess that is Italien style ; the food they serve is excellent. The service is also very nice. We payed around 50€ for two people and were nicely filled. Tutto bene e mille grazie!

We have been going there for thirty years and it has always been great. Fantastic selection of dishes for a fixed price. Beautiful setting on the Luni plain in a picturesque orchard (watch out for mosquitoes! . Cuisine is quite innovative, with great primi piatti.

We enjoyed our Sunday lunch here. It was a warm day but the tables outside were shaded by trees. Our two young daughters were easily occupied by the animals and play equipment and didn't ask to play on an iPhone ! so that deserves a good review. Food was typical of the region antipasti, pasta, roast for main. It was average for the region if I"m honest.
