Bidrage med feedbackWe went there on the 15/8/2018 so it was fixed menu €35p/p. We thought it is only for the food. We order a vino rosato, we got a bottle of that. Then we had a bit of problem with ordering because almost no one speak english but I work in italian restaurant in London so with google translator it was easier. On the A board outside it was a menu but we thought we have a choice. I try eat vegetarian when my wife love the seafood. We had a 3 course set meal and it was one of the best ever! Starters it was a 4 different little bruschetta or salads with that we got a big ball of big and small mussels. Then primi I had a gnocchi with prawns and zucchini and my wife had spaghetti seafood, which we try not to finish, the portions was massive and so good. For the main we got a dorada with crispy sliced potatoes and green tomato salad. The service was very slow between the courses but we think that’s great is all about the family time. It was absolutely fantastico! There was a queue of 10-15 people waiting for the table even that didn’t rush to get out the people, not like London is all about money forgetting about family atmosphere. So lovely! Btw we had two bottles of that rosato and the bill was only €70 so the wine was included in the menu price!
We were recommended this place by a local as i wanted to eat arristocini once more before leaving Italy. My daughter speaks Italian which helps with placing orders. We began by ordering a glass of Prosecco each but when half the bottle was poured into our glasses we realised that communication had slipped up. It was the end of our walk along the Cammino di San Tommaso so we accepted the challenge of drinking the whole bottle! Besides, the next day we were travelling by train. The arristocini were good but not as tasty or as tender as those we ate in Rocca di Mezzo. The rest of the meal was pleasant and the staff were friendly and attentive.
A local friend recommended this place, it turned out to be a total disappointment, however. The service was extremely slow, we had to wait for at least 15/20 mins to take the orders taken, then waited about half an hour to have the appetizer to arrive, but they came 1 appetizer short, we ordered 3 and had only 2. The salad they served us was such a joy killer, with some lettuce leaves rotten buried underneath the fresh looking ones, it really shocked me as that plate must be 2 or 3 days old, you wont have that kind of rotten leaves otherwise. It was later replaced with another one after we made the complaint, but our appetite and mood couldn't be replaced. The sec glass of wine ordered after the appetizer never showed up, we did not say anything because it would probably take another 30 mins for it to arrive and by that time we would be almost done with the main course. The pizza was nice though, we had the mixed style including the ham, mushroom, artichoke and something else that I cant recall. Appetizer were good too, but the service totally destroyed our evening. It might be because that we don't speak Italian and that they had a busy evening. But the salad was totally not acceptable!
Excellent solution. very good pizzas and with low prices, enough celery service with small but cozy environment. We'll definitely come back.
Very good and honest prices, kind and friendly owner
