Rocky Knoll Country Club - Orrington

Course is in good shape. Id give it a 5 but a couple of the greens need some love. So 4 1/2. Front 9 is pretty straight forward. And the back nine is the exact opposite. Gives a good mix of straight fairways and flat greens then the back switches over to challenging doglegs and a couple ravine hazards with difficult greens. Definitely recommend playing if your in the area. If you like walking the front 9 is perfect for it.

This used to be a GREAT COURSE! Not any longer.Greens weren't mowed for at least 4 to 5 days! Couldn't find any balls in the rough at times too.Sad.Hope things change to the way the old course was.

Stopped by Shorty’s Pub at Rocky Knoll this Sunday afternoon and left more than satisfied. The crinkle-cut fries were a highlight, crispy and perfectly browned. The chicken fingers were packed with flavor and went especially well with the honey mustard sauce. The pulled pork sandwich on quality bread was another standout. If you’re into beers, their selection won’t disappoint. The setting is relaxed, complemented by views of the golf course. With attentive and friendly service, Shorty’s Pub at Rocky Knoll is a top pick for quality dishes.

Everything about Rocky Knoll is top-notch. The friendly owners and staff make it very easy to want to stick around. The wet rainy season has not diminished their ability to keep the course in fabulous condition. The best shape since starting to play golf 15 years ago. My only complaint is too many people about it so it doesn't feel like my private course anymore.
