We were staying in Monte Argentario and the area is slim pickings for quality restaurants. We decided to make our way to Tenuta Grazia after reading reviews. We worried as reviews were quite stale but make no mistake, this place is still excellent. We had pasta, soup, rabbit leg, sausages and dessert and everything was excellent. Alll ingredients are locally sourced (farm to table) and all dishes are homey family recipes. We loved it !
Did not have room but dad dinner indoor this time and the the ambiance and food were always top. Service always prompt, food fresh and tasty. Fine local wine selection. A nice hidden gem, surrounded by the hectares of farming land and orse.
This is a rather special place, in a lovingly restored tuscan farmhouse, in its own grounds away from the bustle of the nearby (10 minutes by car) beaches. The restaurant serves mainly traditional dishes: tortelli, tagliatelle and pici are home made and well seasoned; the generous hors d'oeuvre offers a satisfying variety of cured meats, cheese and delicious tempura fried vegetables. Mains range from wild boar to rabbit and the simple desserts are fresh and satisfying. Outside seating is available, but the large indoor dining area is recommended: the tables are not crowded, the high ceiling provides a feeling of spaciousness which will not fail to impress.
We had 2 dinners here, one quiet when it was earlier in the season, one very busy during a holiday. The family does a wonderful job of giving delicious food and being gracious and helpful. During the quiet dinner we had time to talk with the owners, very hard working family with good English and a pleasure to speak with. During the busy weekend it was a holiday and the beginning of their season, so it was a little more difficult for them to keep up the service, dinner was a slow in coming but still very good. We had the local wine which was delicious. We did not stay here, but everyone seemed very happy at the Agriturismo and we went back to buy some oil from them since it was such a lovely chance to bring some of true Italian Olive Oil home to the States with us. The pasta is homemade, as was the bread and the dinners were very good we recommend trying this to anyone in the area!!
