Bidrage med feedbackThis place is a hidden gem in OBA! My boyfriend and I happened to stumble upon this awesome restaurant. The restaurant is very quaint but the food and the view pack a punch! We’ve visited this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed. The menu is small but the attention to detail of every item on the to the mixed drinks and craft beer are on par. I highly recommend checking this restaurant out if you are visiting the area or live locally. You will not be disappointed!!! Upscale bar food, family, pet and boat friendly
Great setting on the inlet or bay . Odd entrance . Almost walk thru the kitchen to get to the setting area . Definitely a chef driven menu . 10 items on the menu and I'm guessing they change based upon availability and seasonality. We went for drinks . My wife said the margarita wasn't great . The beer was cold though. We did order the OG brisket tots though . Definitely some great flavor in there . Sadly the tots end up being a pile of mush . Would come back for sure . Couple things I would like try on the menu and a great setting .
Great location and vibe. Live music playing most of our time at lunch. Great **** Mary. Had the Cuban based on local recommendation and was not disappointed. Really enjoyed the Smokey flavor and good ratio of tastes. Daughter had tuna poke bowl and peach mule. She enjoyed both. Service was very friendly.
Atmosphere: It's like there was a great flood and Chef Johnathan Kastner was instructed to build a ship, load it full of talent and the finest ingredients. After 150 days at sea, finally the ship came to rest at Hudson Marina where bar food on Alabama's Gulf Coast was forever changed. Ok, seriously. It's a bar on an old boat. It's awesome. There is a connection between the kitchen and the patron. You're in the hustle and it's buzzing. The smells the sounds. It's entertaining. The owner/chef came to our table which is always a great touch. We love supporting local owner operators! Cleanliness: Super clean. They were taking the trays of the drink machine out to clean while we were there. Details matter. Service: Everyone is happy and having fun. Our server was prompt, informative and friendly. Food: Their tagline says Best Bar Fare on the Island. They're being humble. It could possibly be the best bar fare in the Southeast and beyond. I had The More In Than Out Burger Mustard seared Louisiana Waygu beef. This burger melts in your mouth. Look at that goodness! My wife ordered The White BBQ chicken sandwhich. Look at the size of that sandwich! Oh, and the house made pickles? Amazing! Save room for dessert. The level of skill here is amazing and it doesn't stop with the entrées. The lemon semi-fredo (I don't even know what that means but oh my it tastes so good) with basil macerated berries and an almond lace cookie. Yeah, you're eating 5 star craft dessert on a ship because you can. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at The Anchor Bar and we're confident you will too. We're glad Chef Johnathan and crew dropped anchor in Orange Beach, AL. Gulf Coast Food Lovers
