Bidrage med feedbackIn all the time we've gone to Ogunquit, we had never been to Northern Union. We were able to secure a reservation and we are very happy we did! The food is excellent- lobster deviled eggs and potato latke for apps, a Caesar salad and the flank steak and swordfish for dinner. Everything was done perfectly and the sauces complemented the main entrees. I especially like the cumin spiced dollops that decorated the steak plate as well as the roasted corn. Focaccia that was brought to the table was fresh and delicious. The wine list is extensive and they offer half bottles of a multitude of wines as well as wines by the glass and wines by the bottle. The service was well-paced and excellent. The floor manager came by a couple of times as well to deliver things-when our wait staff was busy. They worked in sync and it seemed to really work. One other thing- the tables are well-spaced out so it's not loud or crowded. They also have a very nice outside area with a fire pit- I was thinking fall would be a nice time to sit there.
Great spot for dinner with excellent food and staff. Unique menu and everything was great with maybe one exception. The swordfish was done perfectly but had a very salty flavor for some reason.
Last week my husband and I were ambling through Ogunquit. We actually had dinner reservations elsewhere, but decided to have a drink and appetizer when we happened upon Northern Union in Ogunquit. People walking by would tell us it was a great place . People coming out of the restaurant told us it was a great place . So we decided to try it out. I 'm a big fan of outdoor dining, and we requested that we be seated outside, even though no one else was sitting at their ample, beautiful outoor seating space. We were immediately seated outside. For drinks, my husband had a Dad Joke described as a peach forward Manhattan , and I had an Old Fashioned . Both drinks were thoroughly enjoyable. As appetizers, we had their modern take on a Potato Latke, which was beautifully done, crispy, but without the excess oil, and an Ahi Tuna Tartar. Both appetizers felt light enough, yet hit the spot, and as said before, the cocktails were enjoyable and well blended. I 'm not a peach fan, but if you are, the Dad Joke is perfect. I loved their Old Fashioned. Our server was Theodore very efficient and personable. Interestingly, initially, we were the only ones sitting outside, but shortly thereafter, people came out from the restaurant and started being seated outside. New people coming in, also opted for outdoor seating! It was great seeing such a lovely space being utilized! If you 're in Ogunquit, ME, check out Northern Union. You won 't be disappointed!
Everything was done with expertise. The swordfish was superb. Plenty of gluten free options
The new shift has set this hotspot on fire. Exception variety. My partner and I ordered different things as usual and were delighted with it all. In particular, the braised beef, cheeks, and the lobster As well as the Salmon or exceptional. Order the bread rolls they will blow you away. We are waiting dessert.
