Bidrage med feedbackStopped here for lunch on our way back to Atlanta from Destin, FL. Read reviews and gave it a try. This place is in downtown Opp so will need to avoid the by pass. Mainly known for their fried seafood. We were not disappointed. Arrived about 15 min. Before closing for lunch time, but they welcomed us in. Staff was friendly and polite. Wife had lunch portion of catfish fried oysters and cheese grits. I had same catfish lunch with fried shrimp and baked potato. They cook everything fresh to order using their own batter which was light and not greasy at all. Overall our experience here was great. Will definitely stop in again and try some non seafood fare.
This little hole in the wall is awesome! Ran by the same people as rancho grande. Food is great, prices are fair and the few times I've been everyone is super nice. Don't expect any thing fancy but they are great where it counts!
Stopped off on our way down to the gulf coast. The service was prompt and very courteous and the food was delicious, especially the hush puppies! Decent ambiance nothing too fancy, but it's clean and classy, a step up from a hole in the wall with more character than a fast food chain. All in all, a great alternative to chain restaurants with some good food and good people.
Had a nice plate of fried oysters. The Okra and Onion rings were delicious. Maria's Po Boy was a little light though and the bread was not your typical light New Orleans style.
Great place stop for lunch on the way back from beach. Burger, chicken, and fish were all good! Don't follow map link from Yelp. Go to Main Street and turn on Covington.
