Palace Cafe - Opelousas

After placing my order and waiting patiently, I noticed the waitress sitting down beside the owner, enjoying a bowl of food herself. It struck me as odd and quite rude that I was being ignored. The owner glanced at our table but immediately returned to watching something on the screen, seemingly uninterested in our experience. Eventually, the waitress set her spoon down, and I thought she would come to take our order. Instead, she picked up the remote control and continued eating. I felt uncomfortable, both my date and I decided to leave. Neither the owner nor the waitress acknowledged our departure or inquired why we left. This restaurant is known for its prime location and great food, but after this experience, it's clear that they may not be truly committed to serving their customers. People should hear about what happened here and think twice about whether they want to spend their time and money at a place where the focus seems to be on anything but the patrons.
