Momma Goldberg's Deli Opelika

This was our first visit to this place and we would likely come back again. The cozy dining area inside had booths. The Turkey Sub was good but the cookies and brownies were not impressive. A nice alternative to Subway. The staff were courteous.

This was my first visit, but it won't be my last. The waitstaff was friendly and the sandwich was delicious with beautiful, soft bread. Social distancing was observed and the restaurant was very clean. Overall, it was a great lunch at Mama Pastrami Momma.

During a lunch break on a business trip outside the city, I found that the buffalo chicken was sold out. The food was tasty but the portion size was rather small, especially considering the price. You can get a much larger serving of BBQ nachos for the same price at other places. The interesting twist of using Doritos Nacho chips saved the dish from receiving a 3-star rating.

I ordered through DoorDash from the Tiger Town location for the very first time. The food arrived in a timely manner BUT the entire order was wrong. I called and spoke with Shauna who was very nice and helpful! She explained the reason for the wrong breads and ingredients missing which on the DoorDash app it shows options they don’t even have. My only complaint was I wish they would have called me when they didn’t have a particular bread I requested etc. After a conversation about everything the result was we could come and pick up our order that was being remade, even the nachos which was the only thing right in the order, or we could get a refund. We had the order remade and was able to keep the food from the original order AND was offered free desserts at the store. Thank you Shauna for making our experience great! Btw the remade/corrected food was great!
