1885 Grill Ooltewah

I am here on vacation and today was the second time I visited in one week. The food was excellent, I had the filet mignon and it was perfectly prepared. I also liked that I had no problems getting a table, even that I was just dining alone. The staff was friendly and the service was great.

The service, food, and atmosphere were absolutely stunning! I came here on a date and will more than definitely be coming back. I met my sisters-in-law here for lunch-one lives in the area, and we were celebrating her birthday. The service extended by Debbie was excellent. Drinks were always filled, and she was attentive. When the fried okra was served, it was cold, and she immediately replaced it. The pimento cheese was overwhelmed by the mayonnaise. The kale salad was okay, the kale was not very tasty and I had to search for the pecans and goat cheese. The hamburger was appropriately prepared and was good. I had chosen the restaurant from online reviews, and was disappointed in the food, but absolutely amazed by our service.

I love the shrimp and grits here!! Get the half cake and half regular grits. The fried green tomatoes are really good too. I don't recommend their burgers though. Expensive and dried out so much that it had no juice. So, for a nice meal GO HERE for burgers go somewhere else. The fried catfish is good as well. We did the special valentines dinner which was very nice as well.

Had our wedding reception here and they let us rent out to the party room. Atmosphere was amazing. Food was absolutely incredible and our server christian was very attentive and super sweet! would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for a bite to eat or a place to host a party. We love 1885 Ooltewah!
