Karmenaadjie - Onrus

We visited Karmenaadjie twice in the past week and as a new restaurant in Onrus it deserves to be brought to everyone's attention. A group of us went to their Sunday Lunch Roast which offered a choice of Pork neck or Lamb and Chicken with a variety of side vegetables. The food was of a very good quality, well prepared, tasty and very filling. Four days later we went again to try out their A la Carte menu and we were very pleasantly surprised by the choice of meals, the quality of the food and service and the very generous portions they served. Having heard some negative comments just after they opened, we decided to try it ourselves and glad we did. We indulged in a variety of their starters, main courses and Pizza's and all of them were excellent quality and value. There is a good choice available to suit all palates and owner/chef Jo-Anne (now well known for having adopted the delightful Amber) should be very proud of what she has created. As a new restaurant there are a few elements which are missing such as background music and a decor style that suits the vibe but we were assured that it is in process. Don't let those aspects stop you from visiting and enjoying a fabulous meal. You will certainly leave with a very full stomach and a desire to go back soon to enjoy what flows out of that kitchen.
