Chaserz Lakeside And Grill - Onalaska

Nice place!! Great view of the lake,we sat inside. Our waitress was AWSOME!! told her i would forget her name..sorry) We were there today about 5pm. Great BURGERS!!!!

If you live in Onalaska, TX, and noticed that there are only a few things to do over here other than hang out at home, do water sports, fish, and eat! Well, this is one of the spots where my family and I often grab lunch or dinner (mostly dinner). The selections are enough, and all the food here is good! I typically order the mushroom burger with frozen margs. The view is lovely. Sometimes, we bring our dogs and sit in the patio area with our pets and enjoy the peaceful view of the lake. [Currently, the lake water around the Lake Livingston area has been pretty low due to the extreme heat this summer and almost no rain. So, if you expect to have a beach view, forget about it! The service from the bartender and the servers are decent. You can't expect them to wait to attend to your needs as soon as you sit down. Common sense and understanding is needed. Often, the most are two servers and one bartender in front of the restaurant. Overall, my experience here is good, and I love coming here to order their food and drinks! The vibe is good enough to enjoy the lovely view of the lake.

Being new to the area, Chaserz was recommended to us when we were looking for a place to take visiting friends for lunch. This will now be my family’s go-to dining spot! Our server was Meagan and she was just perfect!The gator bites and onion rings are worth going for on their own, but we had catfish poboy, chicken fried steak, bacon cheeseburger, chicken tenders and fried shrimp. Absolutely everything was delicious. I can’t wait to go back…

We always look for local eateries when our adventures take us somewhere new, so we were happy to try a late lunch at Chaserz on a visit to Lake Livingston. A couple of previous reviewers seemed to have had bad experiences but ours was great! Can't speak to the upstairs bar area, it keeps evening and late hours only, but the downstairs dining room and bar was clean, cool and wasn't trying to be something it's not. The frozen drinks machines poured out brain-freeze -inducing margaritas and the cooler cases were well stocked with domestics and imports. To be honest, I wished I had stuck to one of those or a soft drink because I didn't care for the flavoring of either fruity margarita, but maybe a plain lime would have been okay. The food, however, was amazing! I would put a Chaserz burger up against some of those fancy Austin/Dallas burgers any day. The patties are sirloin brisket and the buns are buttery toasted brioche. My husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger and I ordered a mushroom Swiss. Both patties were cooked to perfection and arrived hot and juicy. My onions appeared to be red (which I prefer and both they and the mushrooms were grilled just right. Soooo good! There was not a crumb left. My husband had regular fries and I had sweet potato fries. Again, both arrived hot and were perfectly crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. Also ordered Southwest eggrolls with the intent of trying one and taking the rest home for later. Good idea. (Beware wimps like me, they've got a bit of a jalapeño kick! All food came out quick. Service was attentive and good. Views of the lake while eating couldn't be beat. It was a hot day (aren't they all?! so we opted to eat inside and enjoy the great views from the comfort of the a/c but I would love to try another burger on the huge deck in fall or spring!

I went this last weekend to see what it was like because I had heard a few things about them so I wanted to try for myself! It was me and my husband and we ate downstairs at first , food was mediocre, service was good.Here’s where it got bad, we went upstairs to grab a few drinks and rewind, and the bartender that was “helping” us was absolutely horrible. I heard her talk about a few guests as we were sitting at the bar and not in a nice tone. A beautiful women would walk up and she’d give out mean mug looks to her while the lady wasn’t looking. and I’m not the one to judge but it surely seemed like jealousy/ insecurity because the woman was significantly good looking. Then this man comes in , and their talking and chit talking and come to find out , it’s her boyfriend which is totally fine just a little unprofessional in my opinion to have your lover at your job , taking attention away from customers. They had a 30 minute conversation and didn’t even come check on us. We ordered a mix drink after she finally came to attend to us again, the drink came back with no ice.A blonde lady , who was also a bartender was also serving this night , and she was on her toes! She was absolutely amazing!The other bartender, brown hair , a bit chubby , she is absolutely horrible, horrible bartender , no personality, not good at making drinks , and not a conversation starter. Not going back if she is the bartender. I believe they called her Jess.
