Amazing that after all these years that the quality is still the same. From the nachos, the sauces, the tortillas, etc. Always been a fan of this branch and Chupacabra, Makati since its early years--thats for more than a decade now. Despite of me being overseas, I can say that nothing can beat their Grilled Steak Burrito. Always been looking resto after resto but always one result--not the same as Mexicali's. The food was great, surprised to see Mexican food in that area. We just saw it after getting a drink from Lola Nena’s. Their food is a must try and I would dine in here again, ambiance is great but it would be great if it’s located in a place with more foot traffic. There were few customers when I dine here. My food were served hot. I love quesadillas so much, it’s one of my comfort food, so for their cheese quesadilla it was okay. The nachos was also okay, it became soggy agad which I think lahat naman ng nachos kapag nababad sa salsa for too long. Their burrito was also good, hot pa when served sa akin, but there’s something missing or kulang sa burrito nila. If quick craving for a mexican cuisine when you’re in megamall, try mexicali. Mexicali has been my go to affordable mexican craving. There was a time the quality went south. Today, I tried was surprised how much meat is there now on their enchiladas. With the Eatigo 50% off promo, this can 't be beat. San Diego style steak burrito was excellent. Single size nachos was pretty big. Jalapeño burger was very good though rubbery in texture. The chili dog was the only negative. It tasted like something out of a can. Skin was not poppy at all. Texture was akin to chewy Vienna sausage. The taste was awful as well. Something like vegemeat.
