Pizzeria Amaru - Ollantaytambo

After we spent all morning in Machu Picchu, we were ready for lunch! There are many touts trying to eat you in the different restaurants. We looked at the menu and everyone saw something they would eat, so we thought we would try. We sat on the 2nd floor overlooking the square and had a beautiful view. We had some Empanadas, Pizza, Alpaca and Avocado court. The food was presented very nicely decorated with shrimp and sauces on the plates. The food tasted good. Nothing special, but very nice for lunch. We were quite tired and it was nice to sit and relax and enjoy the view of the Plaza.

This restaurant is very close to the rail tracks. You will get a good view of the city and the surrounding shops and the bozz in the area. The food was decent. The restaurant is located right on the corner so you get an excellent one.

The restaurant was located in the main area of Aguascalientes and has about 3 floors. We were on our last days of our Peru tour and were craving more of the traditional american food, so we ordered the burger and pizza. The view from where we were sitting was lovely. Overall, the food was average and affordable. The service was fast. Maybe order the local peruvian style dishes instead.

We had lunch at Pizzeria Amaru on May 26, 2016. We sat on the second floor overlooking the Plaza Manco Capac. The ambience is great and the food is also superb. We ordered Grilled Trchua (Trout) and it was great. The tables are tiny though, but that is common for most of the Aguas Calientes restaurants.
