Plano Tapas - Oliveira Do Hospital

I love this place. We have been there at least 2-3x a year (they are only open for about 6months of the year) and have been there for my wifes birthday two years in a row. Simple smallish portions of some traditional Portuguese dishes like chorizo in red wine or chicken gizzards as well as local cheeses, cold cuts, etc.... Nice people.. Amazing views and a great drinks menu. Belgium and Portuguese craft beers, great wine list.. Cocktails...

We arrived in the area late on a Monday night (11pm) and without having had dinner and stumbled on Plano5 still open. Although the kitchen was closed they knew we were hungry and got us fed! It was so good we came back for breakfast the next day, and then dinner and then again for coffee and dessert on our last night. We tried almost everything on the menu and loved it all. Highlights included the breakfast yogurt, tomato soup, fried pork with pickles, chicken samosas and almond cake. We also really appreciated the travel advice and maps we got on 2 of the visits. Amazing!

The location is surrounded by peaceful hills, just before the Portugal's Mountains. In a little cosy town, mostly build of old rock houses this place tries to insert some contemporary design, but that's not the reason we liked it. The food was good, and the service was absolutely amazing. Super kind, effective and not invasive.

Um oásis em uma aldeia perdida pela estrela viu. Quartos que apelam ao romance. Restaurante apenas para os clientes. Pessoas muito simpáticas, e uma menina que coloca uma excelente música ambiente enquanto come uma tapas pela lareira.

Excelente, tanto na qualidade dos ingredientes e na preparação e apresentação. O serviço é de excelência, muito raro hoje. Recomendo todos aqueles que passam por esta área, fazendo um desvio.
