Bidrage med feedbackI have visited this restaurant several times now, and each time the food has been consistently fantastic. I appreciate the charm of the place, and although the staff can be busy at times, they are always helpful and courteous. However, the real star of the show is the fresh, flavorful, and authentic food. I absolutely love it!
The restaurant always offers unique meals that are a guaranteed hit. The menu is constantly changing based on the available produce, and Tony the chef (or maybe his wife Adele) uses his culinary skills to create top-quality dishes with amazing flavors and fresh ingredients. Last night, we enjoyed homemade bread, olives, mussels in a creamy wine sauce, whitebait with aioli, penne pasta with spicy nduja sausage, spaghetti in a spicy tomato sauce, lamb meatballs in a herby tomato sauce, cod in a smoked fish sauce with lumpfish caviar, small chorizo bites in a honey rosemary sauce, chargrilled padron peppers with rich sea salt and black pepper, and chargrilled broccoli in anchovy and garlic sauce. The menu also included rabbit loin and devilled chicken livers, but we were too full to try them. The offer of 3 plates for £18 is a great value for such delicious dishes. We will definitely be returning soon.
I will not be returning to this restaurant anytime soon. The service was good, but the food was terrible, with the exception of the meatballs. The bruschetta looked like a charred, unappetizing mess and the pasta with chicken was equally unappealing. My friend and I decided to leave our food uneaten, pay our bill, and go somewhere else to eat. It seemed like the kitchen staff noticed our dissatisfaction, judging by their curious glances at us.
What can I say walked in to here today and the staff were not working (more like shirking) I said excuse me twice and asked for a table one of the waiters said lunch finished, it did not say that on the board! I nearly argued and thought sod this walked out!
Whether you come here for breakfast, chichetti or pretty much anything else the food is just fantastic, the chef is a food magician honestly...love it.
