This was such a wonderful recommendation from the Ojai Valley Inn. The restaurant is quaint and welcoming. I highly suggest their fresh pasta specials (we had the lobster linguine and the rabbit pappardelle). The octopus was one of the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. It was served with a beautiful ratatouille, fresh from the farmers market. We will definitely be back!
Went on Mother’s Day and they don’t bring out the tiny serving of bread until you order. The waiter forgot the appetizer I ordered and I had to remind him. The servings are very small for the price. The salads were not very good. We were not impressed and I don’t appreciate you putting a surcharge on my bill of $7.20. What is that for? They are not supposed to put that on your bill and come July they can’t at all. We will not be back because the service wasn’t all there, yet they are quick to get all the plates out of the way. Very weird experience. I’m not going to be tipping as high as I do unless I get extraordinary service like I did the night before at a really great steak place.
Best Italian food I’ve eaten in Southern California. I’m Italian American from NJ/NYC so I don’t give this accolade lightly. Absolutely amazing. The service was equally impeccable. The manager Kruse really went above and beyond. Can’t wait for our next trip back to Ojai. We’ll definitely be coming back.
I don't usually write a review unless I'm really impressed.I'm Italian and I can say that this is a real Italian restaurant.Top quality ingredients, interesting food combination. I definitely recommend it and I will come back
