Bombay Bar Restaurant - Offenburg

There is obvious history when the stone steps leading to the restaurant are carried. You check the vaccination status when entering, which is good. Inside is warm, with high ceilings and various seating. The vegetarian selection is good and my meal was... chic. We had excellent local wine and excellent local beer.

I was here twice. The food is very good. The homemade lemonade was really delicious. Price performance is perfect. Service was always friendly.

Visited this place on a business dinner. The staff were really helpful, excellent English and the food was awesome. Everything is cooked fresh, so it takes a little longer than normal but the atmosphere is great and food is worth the wait. I had flank...steak cooked to perfection, colleagues shared a huge rib eye and were equally pleased with it. The waiter made me a delicious bourbon cocktail to help with my cold. Thanks for that it worked a treat. Highly recommend this place, I think it might have a different name now... Haus Zauberflote.

An old Synagogue (according to a waiter remodelled into an upper floor restaurant, over the hotel cafe and entrance. We (party of 7 opted for the surprise menu 3 courses of delicious food, with a whole chicken each (well, poulet, I guess... as the...main course. Excellent friendly service, but an understandable slight wait for the starter, as the place was packed out. Very helpful and chatty waitress!

I would not expect finding such a nice place and cuisine in the lovely, but small, Offenburg. Very good atmosphere, excellent service and food. Will definitely go back!
