Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe - O'Fallon

This location has really gone downhill since it changed ownership. The staff are disrespectful to customers and resemble a group of immature junior high school kids. The workers find it sport to jerk around customers. The hiring standards have clearly been lowered, and many of the employees who are there are not trained or qualified to be in customer facing roles. If you are bored or hate your job don’t take it out on folks just stopping in to pick up a sandwich. Pathetic.

I’m writing this review to shoutout the staff this evening. Late Sunday night and the vibes and energy were great! I think I had a conversation with every employee staffed tonight lol but that’s nothing new. One of the reasons I love going to Pickleman’s (aside from the food) is the staff. Always friendly, always helpful… just great people! Thanks again for delicious food and always great atmosphere!

Last time I was here I ordered the wrong sandwich. The staff insisted on remaking it after I said I would take the sandwich as is. I've had nothing but good experiences here. Good food and kind staff.

Went in to pick up an order, and no one acknowledged me for about 10 minutes. Once someone finally did, I got nothing but rudness. I'm sorry if me placing my order upset you or the workplace is that upsetting. Sets a bad tone for the business.

For being there the first time we had no clue where to order, or what the process was. They acted like we should have known everything walking into the store. It seemed like they were too busy cleaing up to leave, then to help us. They just wanted to push us out asap. The ingredients were fresh but their attitudes was not. Don't know if we'll do this one again or not.
