Magic Bean Coffee Bazaar - Ocracoke

This place is amazing! My cousin and I were on the island on November 8th. After shopping, I was looking for a good cup of coffee, but couldn't find a coffee shop that was open. When we left a store from the Magic Bean, the owner (the Magic Bean) stepped out. I asked her if she knew about coffee shops that were open when her shop was closed. She said we should come in and she'd get my coffee! Who does that? The owner of the Magic Bean, who is! We will never forget your kindness, nor will we forget your dog that I shared my fig muffin. We'll see you again next year. Thanks again for your hospitality.

Beautiful small café with Wi-Fi. Expressos, pastries, smoothies and local artwork. Also for events with coffee, tea and light refreshments.

Though I do enjoy Ocracoke Coffee Co as well, they are as close to commercialism as the island gets. The Magic Bean carries the spirit of the island best. The service is quality and products wonderful. I love to get iced tea which you pick your tea leaves and wait a bit for it to be brewed then iced. While you wait you chat with everyone there and relax while getting to know the owner and their family. If it's hard for you to relax then the O Coffe Co might be perfect for you but when you are properly on island time you want to be at the Magic Bean!
