Bidrage med feedbackAwesome food, top-notch service, but a bit pricey. Still, worth it.
Last meal in Davao and it did not disappoint! Came out so full and so satisfied. Ordered the hito fried and ginata Fried is the classic way it's served here but was thoroughly surprised with the ginata because it tasted so much like the famous alavar sauce of Zamboanga! Even its color was the same. Couldn't get enough of either. Simot to the bone. Ordered kinilaw and tuna tinola too. Friend said this kinilaw was best she's had. I appreciated that the tuna kinilaw was full of gulay but tuna was really tough. And they only gave a few pieces. Would skip this.
The place was simple but okay. The food was good. As expected, their ginataang hito was good, and their abodong native chicken was superb. However, the tuna kinilaw was not fresh and tasty. Customer service was slow and poor. We waited for an hour for our food and the table beside us who came twenty minutes after us was served first. Even the drinks we ordered an hour ahead was served to the other table and was no longer available to us when we followed up on it. The female server wasn't even apologetic and looked annoyed. Every time we call them for a follow up it seems it it's falling on deaf ears. No matter how good the food is, if the customer service and service time is terrible, it's not commendable at all. I'm not eating back here unless I don't have other options. Not worth the long drive from home.
A good catfish restaurant. Does not have those fancy menu items that others have but good food nonetheless. The coconut milk and turmeric catfish is a must try..
Fried jito is really good. You can eat the bones. Just be sure to chew it well.
