The berwanger hof a small paradies on the mountain fantastically situated and surrounded by the allgäu alpenwelt. so this beautiful wellness hotel presents itself at our arrival in obermaiselstein. a gift from our sohnes and his wife on Mother's Day, Father's Day, Birthday and Name Day and on his own birthday he wanted to celebrate in this wellness oasis. he even picked us up in a bad weather stove and so we reach our destination with rain weather over shopping, cempten, immenstadt and sunthofen. but at the following days the sun radiated out and we were compensated enough. in the evening, after the aperitif in the frame of half board, 5 courses menus were refined. it is varied, seasonal and refined cooked and charmingly served. a speciality of the kitchen are hot dishes. extracts from allgäuer bergwiesenheu, combined with regional food, give a special taste experience. also for lovers of vegetarian food or full-fledged food, a main dish is on the map every day. Of course there is a good choice of weeping and other drinks with and without alcohol. in the morning we were pampered with a rich breakfast buffet. the junior cook prepares for each guest on a small pan the rührei with or without champignon, fresh crumbs or even a mirror according to your desire. coffee or tees specialities are available in large selection, as well as sausage, ham, cheese specialities or even smoke salmon are chosen according to taste. even hot white sausages are found in a pot. Of course there are no different sourcing and broth varieties. but also lovers of fresh vegetables or different fresh fruits do not come too short. they will be pampered in the wellness oasis alpen spa. a beautiful hall bath and various saunas and rest rooms are available for the gasses. we were in a friendly large double room with balcony and free view over the almwiesen on the mountains. in addition a large bathroom with two wash basins, shower, large bath and bidet, as well as separate wc. the original hotel was extended in the course of the years by the heuwirt and the building. the house with its beautiful terrace where we live is constantly modernized and adapted to the needs of the more demanding guests. the snowsure ski area grasgehren is obermaiselsteins hausberg and is also a popular excursion destination in a beautiful hiking area in summer. on the top of the 1787 meter high riedberger audiance, obermaiselstein borders on the neighboring bolsterlang and earlierschwang. the three places are often cheerful and fishing the tourist community of the horny villages . and the world-famous oberstdorf with their jumping hills and the nebelhorn railway, as well as the small walsertal are always worth a trip.
