Bidrage med feedbackWe initially found this place when we were doing a self-guided tour of all the local graphics art studios around Oaxaca city. Inside of one of the galleries is this very cool little restaurant. The guys that make the food make everything fresh to order and there are different specials every day. Everything we had was really good and of the highest quality. We especially loved the ceviche. The art there is great too and we ended up buying a print that we like very much. Can't wait to go back next time we're in town!

This is a relatively new cafe/restaurant in Oaxaca and after visiting the studio, we decided to spend a little more time in the restaurant. I had a tasty soup and then ordered trout. We recommended this restaurant to others and we do hope the concept succeeds. Eduardo and the others working in the restaurant were attentive and you cannot help but like everyone who is working here. The food is nicely prepared and fresh. (They might run out of items on the menu). Atila Del Sur is on the same street above perhaps the best bakery in Oaxaca. Only two blocks from the Acala, it is worth the trip to enjoy the revolutionary prints and have a wonderful comida.
This guy makes his own mole (30-40 ingredients) and treats every serving as a piece of art.We ate here twice in 10 days and both meals were delicious and reasonably priced. I loved the agua de avena con canela (oatmeal water with cinnamon). The mole was great as was the flat bread pizza (Tlayuda: A Mexican Pizza piled high with a black bean puree, shredded chicken, lettuce, regional cheese and guacamole).The service was good and the staff friendly.
Excellent food and excellent service! The chef is amazing and the environment is very relaxed. Slow food cooked with love!
