North Beach Sandwicheez Jackson St. Oakland

This used to be a decent sandwich shop, but it's gone way downhill. As of late, they keep screwing up my orders. A couple weeks ago I ordered a super avocado BLT with turkey and what I got had no avocados. This week I ordered a hot pastrami sandwich with pepper jack instead of swiss cheese and what I got had swiss cheese and wasn't even warm.

Been here many times. Value for price is the main reason. I have one big complaint I really wish they would upgrade their bread game. If they had better bread(or started making their own in house)...they would take over the entire Bay Area. I know they do a bunch of corporate orders at scale...but quality bread is what REALLY builds a loyal sandwich business. Hope to see them keep growing. If they get better bread but stay cheaper than Ike's...the sky is the limit.

The first time I came here, it was great but the last couple of times, the sandwiches have gotten smaller and increased in price. Not just that but my sandwiches are hard as a rock, difficult to bite into. The bread is over toasted making the bread hard to bite and fighting with the bread just to get a bite. It looks like I will have to look for another sandwich shop. If I can rate it a zero star, I sure would.

Great sandwiches and fast service. Come by for lunch during the week!
