The food, drinks and service is exemplary. Staff remembers me and says hi! Fried fish is off the charts. I order black beans but they also have pinto beans. And they offer sweet potatoes or plantains. I get the plaintains bc I can cook sweet potatoes at home. Luv their platter plates.

I've never been super blown away by the sandwiches and entrees here, but I will say that the chips and guacamole are best in class, and that goes a long way in my decision-making.

The tacos were decent, those were not real Mexican tacos. They were good but Not the best tacos for sure.

I have heard about this place and me and my friends were in the area so we decided to give it a try. There was a long line out the door and we waited for about 10 mins before placing our order. This was on a Friday evening. When I got to the register, the cashier was polite and friendly to answr my questions . I ordered the picadillo plate and i kid u not it looked like straight up cat food over rice, next to mixed greens salad and three slices of sweet potatoes. It really did not look appetizing and the food combination was odd for a Mexican restaurant. I tried it and it was bland and disappointing. It came w a side of beans which also tasted like they were out of a can. I am a margarita lover and mixologist and right off the first sip I could tell that their margaritas were way too sour. For the chips and salsa the basket was half way full. The yuca fries were undercooked. I can go on and on. This place is all about the looks and not so much about the taste. Overall, I was not impressed, and truly regret choosing this place over Dona on Piedmont.

Decided to go here for lunch with some friends. Inside is spacious and colorful. They also had a nice back patio. You order at the register and the food is brought to you. Water and such are self serve. I got 2 fish tacos and chips and guac to share. The fish tacos were so good!! Esp for under 4$ each, which seem impossible to find in sf. The guac had lots of chunks of avocado and a good amount of chips. My friends ordered the chicken and carne asada and were also impressed with the food. I definitely plan to come back soon.
