Portillo's Hot Dogs - Oak Park

I didn't want to post a bad review, but I'm gonna go ahead and get it out of my system because it's really frustrating to drive out of my way to Portillos, spend my money, wait for my food, only for my order to be not what I ordered. The workers there apparently do not understand what dip the beef means, no matter how many (xt-dips) extra dips you add to you order. They must think extra dip means don't dip it at all, because the sandwich was dry, and that wasn't the first time. Apparently a fry with no salt means pour the entire salt container on the fries. Also, when I ordered, the young girl at the counter said absolutely nothing to me as I walked up. No hello, no may I take your order, she just looked at me as If I was supposed to ask her what SHE wanted. Last week I came in, waited forever for my order, and the whole time, it was sitting there on the counter where it would have remained had I not walked up and asked about it. Then when they gave it to me, the person just handed it to me, didn't check to see if everything I ordered was in there. Turns out, it wasn't. I had to turn around and ask for the rest of my food that I ordered. My order is never complicated and the fact that they still can't get it right is very frustrating. Each time I go in, I have to hope that they get my order right. They've gotten it wrong so many times that I don't care to return. Something really needs to be done about that.

Great hot dog. Came through on my way to the Frank Lloyd Wright Home. The long line in the drive thru was a testament to this great hot dog and onion rings. Usually a French fry person but the onion rings were definitely the winner.

We have stopped here the last three time we were in the city. Our orders were wrong all three times. Today took the cake. The young man repeated the order after each item was added and was correct. We waited 20 minutes for the order for it to be wrong. Long story short Stephanie came out and refused to make the order as we thought we paid for. It was not our fault the order was not placed correctly and it was missing condiments. When I said I was calling corporate she refused to give me the young man's name. The guys are walking around with sagging pants, laughing and chatting too much, not feeling orders correctly and they have poor customer service. I will not be going back to this location and will recommend to family and friends to by pass this location. Horrible customer service.

I ordered ahead to pick up my my food at 11:30. 11:40 and it is still not ready. It would have been better to just come in and order in the store.

The fish sandwich and the grilled chicken was good. My fries was nice and crunchy. Everything was hot and fresh. The wait was a solid 30 minutes tho inside :
