Pete's Red Hot's - Oak Park

Pete's Italian beef was at one point worth traveling for. Now it's just okay. Still good just not what it was. It's been messed up for about 2 years now. A new staff and a new recipe I guess

I love their grilled chicken sandwich but the past two times I've ordered I didn't get what I asked for on it... I ordered tonight July 6, 2022 I asked for American cheese, grilled onions, mayonnaise, mustard and hot peppers... I was charged for cheese but didn't get a slice on my sandwich. And I heard the cashier tell the cook twice to add cheese. I ordered last week the same way but they forgot the onions... Not realizing both times until I got home. And of course they are closed now because it's after 9:30pm. I will be calling in the morning. I need for them to pay attention. Here it is two years later and the same thing happened today August 8, 2024. I paid for cheese and didn't get any on my sandwich and they never answer their phone smh

Food was good, service was quick. The staff was friendly and helpful. The prices were affordable and they have dine in

In an area with no shortage of dog/beef stands, Pete's is better than most of them. Prices are a little above average but quality and consistency make it worth it. I've tried many of their offerings and have never had a bad experience. Fast friendly service with a small no frills dining area if you're eating in. I had a beef sausage combo on my most recent visit. It's definitely one of my favorites. If you don't get it with giardinera, you're doing it wrong. No cheese
