Bidrage med feedbackThis was embarrassingly bad. Who f$&ks up a grilled cheese?!?!? I had a taste for a good grilled cheese. Online and on the menu it sounds delish, but apparently they must have teenagers manning the grill because this is an epic fail!!!! The glob on the plate in the pic is the cheese I scraped off. It appears they use that nacho cheese that's not real cheese in the first place(more like petroleum), the kind you pour on nachos. Damn!!!! Not to mention grilled cheese 101: toast the bread to a nice golden color. My husband ordered a hot dog. For $9. he got a hot dog and bun?!?!?!? We're in Chicago!!!! Onions, tomatoes, relish, pickle, sport peppers, celery salt.....it says it on the menu. But again I think the child manning the grill made a hot dog like he would prefer to eat it. Did I mention we waited too long for a grilled cheese and hot dog? They asked how my meal was, I told them the truth and had the opportunity to point out the color of the bread and glob of petroleum.....and the result?!?! 1 bucket of Miller Lite, a hot dog, a grilled cheese= $27.00 The good news is the waitress was friendly.
Very nice set up, I stumbled upon this place when I was looking up somewhere to watch the ufc fight while I was in town this weekend. They have a lot of TV's here, there's even two flat screens in the men's room, great selection of beers on tap bottle, a full food menu (the hot wings are really good) and the waitress are attentive. I was shocked which I saw a pitcher a beer was only 7-9 dollar it reminded me how overpriced stuff in California is. Overall it's a great bar inside, you might miss this place on the outside or not even know a bar is here because the sign is kind of small, the only thing that put me off was the bouncer had a hard time reading my California ID, my cousins Georgia ID. I pretty much had to convince him that they aren't fake show were the birthday is. This bar is about 10 mins from the midway airport a lot of hotels, if you're going to be located in an area where you get a lot of people from out of town you might not want someone working the front that's going to potentially turn away customers because he has a hard time reading anything but Illinois ID.
I visited TC Pub to celebrate the 244th Marine Corps Birthday. The staff did a fantastic job organizing the party, with $4 16-ounce drink specials, live music performing the Marine anthem, and a cake. I appreciate the effort they made to make the day special for all the marines and their families. I also had luck winning money at their slot machines! The restaurant has ample parking and a friendly staff. However, I cannot speak to the typical atmosphere of the restaurant as this was an event. The only downside was that the bathroom needed cleaning, which is why I am giving it four stars.
I stopped by to check out the new Chef Adele and was pleasantly surprised with not only the delicious food but also the amazing bartender Felicia. The bar was fantastic! If you're ever in the area, make sure to ask for Chef Adele to see what creations he's cooking up in the kitchen - you won't be disappointed. And if Felicia is behind the bar, you're sure to have a great time!
This bar has a fantastic selection at affordable prices. It's the only bar in the area where you can celebrate the Marine Corps birthday!
