It is not always that my father and I get to spend some quality time together(work s he duels do not match . So, last to last week was a great opportunity for us to head out and enjoy the culinary delights of the city(Mom was out with friends . After wandering about the likes of Lodhi Colony, India Gate and Pandara Road; we chose to settle in the well known area of Khan Market. I did a quick check on Zomato and booked a table at the place. Confirmation was quick. The place was easy of located in the middle lane of Khan Market; right behind the front lane book shops. After taking a flight of stairs inside, we were greeted by the manager and her team(maybe who directed us to our table. Now the place is not that brightly lit and our table was not the one with an overhanging light bulb on top of it(every alternating seat had one hence it was quite a bit difficult to see the menu. I know this added to the ambience of the place but then my father had to see stuff if he wanted to order right? We requested to be shift of the adjacent seat(with the and after a quick checks from the team(took a bit of time though were were shifted to a place with atleast some light. Big mistake on our end. The seating was behind a huge wall and this started our night of poor/delayed service(it was hard for the servers to see us hence we may have easily slipped off their minds . We started the night with a couple of beers and an order of Kolhapuri chicken Thepla Tacos, Keema saag Samosas, Aunty's chicken popcorn, Mutton Button Kebabs and mushroom toasties. The food was well prepared with the Chicken popcorns; crunchy bite sized pieces served with an excellent sauce the perfect accompaniment to Beer. The Thepla Tacos were soft and flavourful with the right amount of filling and the Keema samosas were properly spiced and their meat cooked to perfection. The Kebabs were soft and flavourful and the toasties were creamy and literally overflowing with mushrooms( . Our main course was the Hyderbadi Mutton Biryani, which was cooked in an actual handi and served to us. The spices in the biryani were good(the spice smell percolated the air around us with good amount of mutton pieces(4 I guess for the serving. The food served was hot and the raita was a nice cool addition along with the green chutney. Although the food the really good, the service was a bit letdown. Our food took literally ages to be prepared and served to us and we had to call the servers repeatedly to get a glass of water. The seating did not help the cause( a huge wall behind me blocked us from the staff's view and this really killed the vibe of the place. I had to skip dessert precisely for this reason as who knows how long it would have taken for it to be served. We were already clocking in on 2 hours at the place. Overall, the experience was decent but could have been amazing if the service was a bit proper. My rating: 4/5 Please work on the service and try to work on the seating behind the wall. Not at all conducive to have people sit there.
Modern ambiance with fantastic fusion specialties. Lovely staff and a gifted chef. Cocktails are on point as well.
Pretty good food, reasonable, courteous staff. We went for breakfast.
I like this place because it's a very quiet corner in the midst of the busy Khan Market. I like the decor which is quite tastefully done. Food wise I think it's a bit overpriced but I think the main value here is for the drinks. They have 1+1 during weekdays during set hours. Their basil mint sangria is very well made and one of my favourites. They have some interesting cocktails using Indian flavours like pickle etc. Sounds weird but tastes amazing. I would suggest it to anyone looking for a quiet place with good drink options. Can't comment on food since I haven't ordered any yet.
