Lemongrass - Nürnberg

Went with a colleague for lunch this week, and what a huge timewaste! We arrived, and the restaurant was almost empty apart from one other table. The waitress completely ignored us, it was more interesting for her to speak to other staff members behind the bar. We waited 30 minutes to order!! when she did finally come, she was sour and miserable. I ordered a Pad Thai, my favorite Thai dish, and after a VERY long wait, approximately another 35 minutes, the food arrived. The Pad Thai was just a plate of bland plain noodles, dry and tasteless. I couldn't eat it. I kept trying to get her attention to let her know it was awful and I didn't want it...she finally came, sour as usual, and when I said it was nothing like a real Pad Thai, she became aggressive and argumentative, and refused to take it back. So, I had nothing to eat after 1.5 hours wasted time in this awful restaurant. I didn't touch the dish, because it was awful. At then end, she included it on the bill, did not remove it so I had to pay full price for a terrible meal that was not even remotely like a Pad Thai, and it was uneaten. Shockingly horrendous service!!!! The fact that she wanted to argue was really unbelievable!! AVOID THIS RESTAURANT! It's awful!! I now see why it only had one other table with customers. Awful experience, and arrived back to work very late due to the horrible service.

The outside appearance of the restaurant is not that appealing nor is the neighbouring street very scenic. However, stepping inside is also stepping into a different reality. The interior decoration is very nice and the huge aquarium across the dining area takes your mind away from the streets outside. The service is fast despite the crowd (it was Friday evening) and quite friendly. There are a large number of various portions and the selection wasn 't easy for any of us. The dishes have also adequate spiciness, and the two chillies was plenty for me (and I eat quite spicy compared to the local scale). One should still note that the rating is just approximate and two dishes with the same spiciness rating can differ a lot from the burning sensation. There 's also an option to use chopsticks, but you 'll need to request for them. The portions are quite large, and a smaller would 've been enough for me. Maybe something like sharing 2 portions with 3 people might be ok.

Furnishing cozy in Asian style, eating nicely dressed and tastefully good, short waiting time. Price/performance good. A great evening. We like to come back.
