This has summed up a great end to our family holidays

We enjoyed our meal at a motorway service station Hippopotamus on the way down to the South of France, so we deliberately planned a trip back via a Hippopotamus. This was a great location for a late lunch near to Calais for our return Eurotunnel journey. The restaurant was very quiet as it wasn 't lunchtime (we had called ahead and they said they were open all day). Morgane was our waitress and she was friendly and attempted to speak some English and was nice about our French attempts too. Food was delicious. Especially love the 'A volonte ' sides. The mashed potato was to do for and the chorizo rice was a hit. The kids chicken nuggets were great- in fact the whole kids menu was tasty and great value. My son sadly didn 't receive his 'surprise ' though. Lovely big portions of chocolate mousse and great cafe gourmand. Will definitely plan our next French trip to stop off here! Thank you!
