Saffron Indian Cuisine - Nowatney

The best Indian food in all of New Tampa. Don't be scared by the fact it's in a gas station, the only reason it's there is because the owner moved out of the small business area near Benito Middle School. The price for retail and that little mall is outrageous. This food is amazing, and we get it often. The chicken tikka masala is amazing and the chicken biryani is also beyond amazing. Sunita is a great chef and a very dedicated one too. You will not be disappointed.

I 'm giving this a 3 star because of my recent experiences and tastes ordering food here, I originally would have given it a 5 back in 2020, the year I first came here, the food was actually great back then, but then I stopped coming due to me liking several other Indian places nearby. I didn 't come here for about another 3-1/2 years until early 2024 when I tried the Lamb Biryani, which wasn 't really that good. Sorry to make this mid review, but I 'm not coming back anytime soon.

Great place to go for lunch and the only Indian restaurant that I know that had a buffet, especially since beer is included in the buffet price.

This is the best Indian food in North Tampa. Delicious and huge portions, always comes delivered still hot, amazing!
