Trattoria Ghiringhelli's Novato

The food wasn't very good. Definitely not order the pasta. The pizza was so. I think her chicken wigs were the best. This place was not worth waiting. Don't think I'd ever come back. But I would like to mention that our waitress was very sweet and helpful! She deserved her tip, I was just not interested in the food.

Breakfast was pretty poor. The **** Mary was good and the side order of the blueberries was the only thing that was edible. Stay on the billionaire bacon because it was barely cooked and it was not worth it at all. The ulcer with this stuff in it is listed at almost $17 for eggs and this bad bacon saves your money early enough to sneak a seat in Marvin 's on Grant Ave.

Chicken in wine with mushrooms, scaling on Penne Pasta was delicious. Sauce a little hard, but still enjoyed. Server wasn't attentive and I had to initiate every time I needed it.

We are really trying to like this place but they continue to have service problems. They brought out the food for 4 members of our party, but the last order didn't make it out until the rest of us were almost done. Clearly they had forgotten to start the pizza, and the waiter and the kitchen staff started blaming each other. Admit you made a mistake, say you're sorry, offer some sort of recompense and move on, but don't start making excuses.

This was my second time to visit. I find the service at this restaurant to be erratic. For instance, the 3 salads arrived together but they were nearly finished with them before my soup made it to the table. The pizzas were good, crust excellent but I found my Funghi Mista to be somewhat greasy. There was live music while we were there (Thursday night). The first performer was OK but then he left and woman with a guitar took his place. We were very happy we were ready for the check as she was so off key it was painful to listen to her.
