Trattoria Al Buco - NOTO

The restaurant was impressive! there are very few places in living to eat right in front of a large cathedrale and although touristic, it was worth a lot! the personal was friendly and reserved a table for us while we had a round in the cathedrale for approx. 15 minutes before closing. one of the most memorable dishes of Sicily for me was from this restaurant: the pasta alla norma. it is now a lover of all time!

I walked around the beautiful old historic city noto and I found this restaurant along the main street when I saw the restaurant almost full to eat, so I asked if it was table for three people and she came back and gave us one. the food was good, except for the mixed salad, which cost eight euro, came in small portions with 3 pieces oliven (see photo). the place is in great location and has a good ambiente for eating outdoors and it seems quietly popular with tourists and has a great view of the stairs up to the church. the staff was friendly and we haven't waited long until the food is served.

So delicious food! fresh homemade pasta with the best sauce we ever had (capricciosa) and many vegan options!

We parked up at the park about 8 pm for free. A local man sitting on a nearby bench recommended the place and walked us over. He was from Brooklyn and he said his friend owned the place and left it to his son who runs it now. We had the mixed fish plate and the lamb with potatoes. Generous portion and very helpful and friendly staff. Place is super clean.

We ate there on our last night at Sicily. Its on the main street in Noto, so it's touristic but better than the rest there. The food was good and the staff is better than elsewhere. The waiting is long so book ahead or go there tell them you want to eat and take a long walk before.
