Pizza Express - Norwich

We have booked a table at this pizza express as we were in norwich for a few days. To be honest, we were very disappointed. the restaurant seemed to be tired, the staff overworked and around the tables, there were eating on the floor. it. it has looted as if the cleaning was the last thing the staff had in mind as if they were not at the top! that was nice, but unfortunately they forgot to eat our cream and so we had to wait one for it. the waitress apologised and a discount was taken from our bill for inconvenience. the restaurant looks like it needs a general overhaul and the toilets have seen better days.

We booked a table a week in advance. Table wasn’t ready when we arrived. I understand they are busy. Food is expensive for the quality. £15 for a pizza that you have to cut yourself, and goes cold very quickly, as plates aren’t hot. Dough...balls £4.50, really poor and not worth the value, luckily our dough balls were free. We were given a regular glass for our beer, as they had ‘run out’, but could see some that were clean on the side. We tried to check in to claim our free dough balls, however our table number wasn’t recognised. When telling them about this, they said that the table number was actually different to the one written in front of us. Desserts were very average and again, not worth the price. No one asked us to see if our meals were okay, even at the end. Very overpriced for average food. Didn’t expect luxury, but it to be better than this.

Came here yesterday with 2 friends and 3 children in total. The first waitress we had was fantastic. Spoke in Italian to my Italian friend. Food was really nice, but the manager walking around the room looked to be in a really bad mood with...no smiles for customers. After we had finished, it took over 20 minutes for the staff to clear our table and bring out the childrens desserts we tried several times to get their attention as they rushed past us and we felt ignored. By this point the children were getting fidgety, totally understandable. This caused a fair few dirty looks from the manager. If the table was cleared sooner we would have eaten dessert and left so I felt the looks were totally unjustified and not on when we are pay3her wage with our custom. This was my first time eating here, and though the food was lovely. I wont come back due to the slow service . (apart from the Italian waitress who was lovely, shame she couldn't have looked after us the whole time)
