Amato's Italian Sandwich - Norway

I made a bad review here awhile ago and since then my opinion has completely changed! I love this place! Some of the best staff around, super friendly owner! I love the food. One of the best places to go in the area! Only criticism is the calzones could use a little less grease but it's not always greasy. I love this place and the people!!!

This place used to be pretty good before Covid. It's gone down hill. Not consistent , different everytime I order . It might be the pizza crust is flat or the one piece of ham in the ham Italian , or you don't get the croutons with your salad or they don't give you 2 meat balls on your lasagne . Sometimes you get cheese on it some times or one time you get a roll with it . Most everytime the sauce tastes old and rancid. There's 5 people behind the counter and one is doing all the work. I always seem to get charged extra for something and the sanitation is not great. Go check it out for yourself . It's sad. Not many places left to eat in the area.

Spent $42 on two large abd two small ham Italians and 2 whoopie pies. That's crazy. The Italians literally had one slice of ham on them and could barely taste it. Not great.

I 'm not sure what I was expecting but it was NOT getting out of my car to gasoline fumes as a lady opened the man hole right in front of the building. They were more than hour from closing but were shutting down. Sweeping around customers, items removed from the case etc. The pizza was edible but it definitely was what was described. The fresh crust looked and tasted like the prepared crusted...kind of cardboard like. I won 't darken their door again.

I got pepperoni and ham pizza, and everything about it is awesome. The crust is perfectly airy, and a perfect balance of sauce cheese and toppings. The prices are also very fair
